Kwihala Camp Description

Kwihala Camp is a small camp, consisting of only 6 tented rooms. Each tent has en-suite facilities including flush loos and bucket showers (cool water during the day and hot water at night). The camp is an authentic safari camp so no ritzy furnishings, just a very good comfortable camp where the out of this world game viewing takes precedence. The camp fire at Kwihala is a particularly social affair where content guests gather at night to reflect upon the magnificence of the area and to contemplate what lies ahead the next day.

ACTIVITIES & WILDLIFE

Game viewing activities at Kwihala are mostly centred on game drives in open 4WdD vehicles. Early morning game drives as well as late afternoon to early evening game drives are conducted at the camp. These game drives are often highly rewarding especially for lion lovers as Ruaha National Park is believed to host one tenth of the World’s Lion population. Huge herds of Buffalo and Elephant are also prevalent in the dry winter months.

Safari bush walks are also offered and allow one to appreciate the more intricate nature of the bush.
