Samburu National Park is another one of Kenya’s famous wildlife parks.
Samburu is a mixture of acacia, riverine forest and arid grasslands and the life line of the park is the Ewaso Ngiro river (meaning “brown water”). With over 350 species of bird Samburu is a birdwatchers paradise, but for those who prefer the bigger animals, Samburu will not disappoint. Samburu is home to large Elephant Herds and on the arid plains, Lion and Cheetah are often easily seen. A Safari to Samburu National Park also combines well with a safari to the Masai Mara.
