Azura Quilalea Accommodation

At Azura Quilalea there are just 9 seafront villas on this private uninhabited island. The villas are constructed from local materials including coral stone walls makuti thatched roofs carved wooden beams and wooden decks. The windows are not made of glass but have shutters made from local reed that can be opened to allow the breezes through, or closed for privacy at night.

The villas are ‘beach-chic’ with handcrafted beds, overhead fan, aircon, fridge and spacious bathrooms. Outside, there are daybeds and sun-loungers for relaxing, and the private decks have fabulous uninterrupted views out to the beach.

There are 4 Sunrise Villas, with fantastic sea views. The 4 Sunset Villas have more exclusive locations, an extra outdoor bush shower, and hammocks for relaxing. The cliff-top Villa Quilalea offers the most astounding accommodation for a couple in the whole archipelago, with a private plunge pool, romantic 4 poster bed, feature bathroom & dressing room, an outdoor shower, and its own extensive lounging, dining and relaxation areas.

There is also an African Spa to help you relax and enjoy this paradise island.

ACTIVITIES AT Azura Quilalea

Activities at Azura Quilalea include – world class snorkelling and diving straight off the main beach. The marine life here is spectacular and with just a small number of people on the island it would appear that you have everything to yourself.

From July to November humpback Whales visit the Quirimbas Archipelago which is a real highlights as are the nesting turtles from November to April. Dolphins are often seen swimming just off the island all year round.

Other activities include kayaking, dhow sailing and fishing. On land romantic picnics and island walks are also on offer.
