Praslin Island

Praslin Island is a beautiful island and the second biggest in the Seychelles archipelago.

Praslin island contains a National Park that is one of the world’s smallest World Heritage Sites, the magnificent forest called the Vallee de Mai. This forest includes the famous Coco de Mer (coconut of the sea) tree, so named as its enormous seeds that are shaped like a human pelvis, were found washed up on distant shores.

Praslin island has some remarkable beaches that can rival the best beaches of any tropical island. There are also some excellent hotels and villas on the island. Praslin is also a great base from which to explore the neighbouring islands of La Digue, and the bird sanctuaries at Aride and Cousin.
