Combining a visit to Cape Town and the beautiful Cape Winelands with a Botswana safari followed by a couple of days at the Victoria Falls is one of the most exciting ways to explore Southern Africa.
Cape Town with its picturesque setting and abundance of activities is a “must see” on any trip to Southern Africa. A minimum stay of 3 nights with a visit to Cape Point, where the Indian Ocean collides with Atlantic, a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain, a visit to the Victoria & Alfred waterfront or one of Cape town’s lovely beaches are sure to be a real highlight of your stay in the Cape. A night or 2 in the Cape Winelands to the lovely villages of Stellenbosch, Paarl of Franschhoek is also highly recommended.
After your stay in Cape Town and the Cape Winelands you can then fly to Maun, Botswana to one of Africa’s finest if not the finest safari destination in Africa. Botswana blends incredible wildlife viewing with spectacular scenery. In the Southern hemisphere Summer, combing a few nights in the Kalahari with a few nights in the Okavango Delta should result in a phenomenal safari. In the Winter months the Okavango Delta combines brilliantly with the Linyanti region. All 3 regions are completely diverse and offer an unrivalled safari experience. The Okavango due to its lush waterways and wildlife filled islands is one of the most unique safari destinations on the planet.
A Botswana safari also offers exclusivity particularly in the Okavango Delta, Kalahari and Linyanti Regions as these areas are quite remote and are more easily accessible by light aircraft. This keeps vehicle traffic to a minimum and allows one to appreciate the excellent wildlife without many tourists about.
What better way to end off a magical holiday with a couple of days spent at one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The majestic Victoria Falls!!!
