Kings Pool Camp is located in The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in the northern part of Botswana, on the western boundary of Chobe National Park. Accommodation is probably the most luxurious in all of Botswana.
Kings Pool Camp has 2 exceptional hides where guests can get up close and personal with the wildlife. One hide is situated at the western end of the camp overlooking the Kings Pool Lagoon, where guests can sit back and relax and watch the animals coming to drink from the lagoon. The real highlight, though, is the underground hide. When guests sit in the hide, their eye level reaches just above water level and it's not unusual to have elephant’s feet and trunks almost within touching distance, while guests are safely inside the hide.
What Africa Uncovered says...
Kings Pool Camp offers the finest accommodation in the Linyanti and along with outstanding wildlife viewing (especially in the dry winter months) Kings Pool Camp certainly offers the ultimate luxury safari experience in the Linyanti.
There are 9 luxurious tented rooms under cool thatch, overlooking the hippo filled lagoon in front of the camp. Each of the rooms has its own large bedroom area, lounge, private plunge pool and a sala. Each en-suite tiled bathroom has two showers, two hand basins and a separate flush toilet and outdoor shower. The main lounge, pub and dining room are under thatch, and there is an open-air "kgotla" for dining under the stars, as well as a swimming pool built into the deck. The main area is linked to the bedrooms by a raised walkway to allow animals to wander freely around the camp.
What our clients say
"Great view, great game viewing! We saw 3 Leopards, a pride of eight Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, lots of Hippos, Impalas and Baboons. Our guide Lenny was a nice guide and the rooms of Kings Pool were the nicest ones, with a pool inside, great view and very good amenities. The food was really good!"

The Linyanti area has a large wildlife resource with a wide variety of species, but it is most noted for its very large Elephant population, which can reach enormous densities during the winter months. There are good populations of Impala, Lechwe, Kudu, Zebra, Giraffe, Sable, Sitatunga, Roan, Waterbuck, Buffalo and the smaller plains antelope. The major predators such as Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena are also regularly sighted.
