Chitabe Camp is a luxurious eight-roomed, tented camp and it is situated in a private area in the south east of the Okavango Delta, which borders the Moremi Game Reserve. The Chitabe area is a combination of open floodplains, wooded islands and lagoons and the wildlife viewing is simply outstanding.
What Africa Uncovered says...
Chitabe Camp is always included on one of our luxury Botswana safari itineraries where ever possible. The wildlife viewing is just sensational at Chitabe and it delivers time and again a top class luxury safari experience.
Accommodation consists of eight spacious East African style tents built on elevated wooden decks, beneath a lush tree canopy. Each tented room has en-suite facilities with flush toilets and both outdoor and indoor showers. The thatched dining area, lounge and pub are also raised on decks overlooking the surrounding flood plains. A pool allows guests to cool off from the heat of the day.
What our clients say
"On the day of my birthday, I saw a leopard, highly visible, relaxed and calm, in the fork of a tree just metres from the jeep. That was going from the airstrip to Chitabe."
Robyn Trigg - Australia
Located alongside the Moremi Game Reserve, the area is made up of a variety of habitats including waterways, marshlands, dry Acacia & Mopane woodland, riverine areas, open grasslands and seasonally flooded plains providing classic Okavango scenery.
Luxury safaris at Chitabe Camp consist of day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles accompanied by an experienced guide. Nature walks, tailor made to suit the guests are also offered.
