Kanana Camp is located in the Southwest Okavango Delta in Botswana. This region consists of a series of islands and is excellent for birding but also offers good wildlife viewing as this part of the Delta offers excellent diversity of wildlife.
Kanana Camp Description
Kanana Camp is a small tented camp consisting of only eight spacious tented rooms with en-suite facilities. The tents which are raised off the ground on wooden decks all offer lovely views of the channels and lagoons in front of the camp. The water levels change quite drastically through the year and from April onwards as the flood waters rise the camp is transformed from a dry camp to a camp that can offer a water experience as well.
ACTIVITIES & WILDLIFE
Kanana Camp is situated in a private concession and so is able to offer a wide variety of activities which vary according to the water levels around camp. Activities include morning and afternoon/evening game drives. Guided walks are a great activity to enjoy in this region. Fishing, both fly and spin fishing are also offered.
Exploring the Delta by boat or mokoro is also a fantastic experience and highly recommended whilst staying at Kanana Camp. Kanana also hosts a seasonal heronry which can be reached by boat and this is a real highlight for bird watchers.
