Little Ongava Description

Accommodation is provided by just three spacious luxurious suites that have their own plunge pool, en-suite bathroom, a “sala”, and additional outdoor shower. Little Ongava’s main area lends itself to relaxed, stylish dining under an African sky or under thatch – the dining area and lounge area have a view of the waterhole in front of the camp.

ACTIVITIES & WILDLIFE

Etosha is Namibia’s premier game viewing destination, large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season and makes for exciting game viewing. Species that can be seen year round at many of the waterholes in the park include Elephant, Lion, Cheetah, Gemsbok, Springbok and Hartebeest. Also able to be seen all year round include wildlife such as Leopard, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Oryx, Kudu and the Diminutive Damara Dik-Dik. Birdlife is also good with Ostrich and raptors in abundance. Local specials include the Short-toed Rockthrush, Haulaubs Francolin, Rockrunner, Ruppells Parrot, White-tailed Shrike and Chestnut Weaver.

Guests share a dedicated guide and Land Rover ensuring the optimum nature experience at one of Africa’s great wildlife destinations.

Luxury safari activities include game drives in open 4×4 vehicles into the Okaukuejo area of Etosha, day and night drives, as well as visiting the numerous hides that look on to the waterholes. Walks with armed guides on the private reserve are also a real highlight.
