Arathusa Safari Lodge offers an excellent safari in the Sabi Sand Reserve which shares an unfenced border with Kruger National Park. Arathusa Safari Lodge offers a warm and friendly atmosphere in a prime wildlife viewing location.
The main focus at Arathusa is the waterhole in front of camp. The waterhole attracts a vast array of wildlife and the viewing deck which looks onto the waterhole often provides some excellent wildlife sightings.
What Africa Uncovered says...
Arathusa Safari Lodge offers an excellent safari at a very reasonable price. Their prime location for big game viewing and great guides makes Arathusa one of our most recommended lodges in the Sabi Sand, Kruger Park.
The main communal areas are comfortable and the traditional open-air boma (brick & grass enclosed dining area) presents guests with a novel way of appreciating an enjoyable meal under the stars to the sounds of the African wild. There is also a small infinity pool which looks out towards the waterhole.
Arathusa Safari Lodge has 9 thatched standard rooms and 4 more luxurious suites. The standard rooms are comfortable with en-suite facilities including a bath as well as indoor and outdoor shower and a small verandah.
The 4 luxurious suites are bigger with their own lounge and private plunge pools. These suites are located away from the rest of the standard rooms but do not have views on the waterhole. The suites though are more private.
What our clients say
“Arathusa is more luxury and the scenery is just magical, with the animals coming and going near the lake.”
Mary Line Mangenot – France
This region is well known as one of the best areas for seeing Leopard in Africa. The best way to see these magnificent animals is on the early morning and late afternoon/early evening game drives. Lion, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo as well as Giraffe and plains game are regularly sighted.
Intrepid bush walks can also be arranged at Arathusa Safari Lodge.
