Shumba Camp Summary
Shumba Camp is located in the centre of the Busanga Plains, in the Kafue National Park. This region is home to hundreds of plains game namely, red lechwe, roan, kudu, puku and oribi. With the onset of the dry Season from June onwards, hartebeest, herds of wildebeest, zebra and buffalo all move onto the Plains. This high concentration of plains game is a big attraction for predators, including wild dog, cheetah and prides of lion.

Shumba Camp Description
Shumba Camp comprises six spacious luxury safari tents on raised platforms with spectacular views of the surrounding plains. The rooms are large, en-suite with both indoor and outdoor showers. The dining and bar area is elevated so as to take in this vista and each morning’s sunrise; dinner takes place either here or in the cosy boma where guests can also enjoy elements of local Zambian culture. Many meals are prepared and cooked on the fire in front of the guests enhancing the safari experience.

Shumba Camp ACTIVITIES & WILDLIFE
A maximum of 12 guests can be accommodated at any one time and so guests can enjoy an exclusive safari experience. Both day and night game drives are on offer at Shumba Camp. The Busanga Plains is well known for its massive Lion prides which have been known to reach 20 strong.
