Chiawa Camp consists of a lovely thatched lounge/bar area with upstairs viewing deck and lots of comfortable furniture. There is also a suitably impressive dining area where guests can also dine under the stars. Other amenities include a viewing hide overlooking the confluence of the Zambezi River and the seasonal Chowe River – a favoured watering site of numerous mammals and birds.
Accommodation is in large tented rooms on wooden decks all with en-suite facilities, flushing loos, 24 hour lighting, hot & cold water, electric power for fans and charging batteries, beds with top quality mattresses, and mosquito nets – all with wonderful views.
Tents 1 to 6 all face the Zambezi River, offering excellent views of the River. These tented rooms all have king size beds with Egyptian cotton linens and mosquito net, en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, a ball & claw bath and his & hers washbasins. Tents 7 & 8 have partival River views as well as views onto the dry Chowe floodplains which attract an array of animals. Tent 9 is perfect for couples enjoying an Africa Honeymoon as this tent is the most remote and perched 20 metres above the Zamezi River. The room has a massive deck where private dining can be enjoyed.
