NKWALI CAMP is owned and run by Robin Pope Safaris. Nkwali Camp is located on Robin's private land, just outside the South Luangwa National Park and with views overlooking the National Park. The land is superb game viewing country and the vegetation consists of ebony woodland and open grass plains.
There are 6 chalets including a family room. The chalets are cool and spacious with open air en-suite bathrooms. The chalets have views overlooking the river. Robin’s House is located in close vicinity to the main camp and is perfect for a family stay as it has 2 bedrooms.
Nkwali Camp also has a lovely bar and dining area in keeping with an authentic safari experience and there is also a swimming pool to cool off in as the temperature rises during the day.
The region where Nkwali Camp is located is famous for leopard and giraffe sightings. Elephants often cross the Luangwa and can be viewed from the bar at Nkwali Camp. There is also a waterhole that attracts the animals in the dry season. Walking safaris are a speciality at Nkwali and day and night game drives are also on offer. Boat cruises can also be organized, dependent on water levels.
Nkwali also offers its guests a cultural visit to the local village of Kwaza.
